Choose your film after you shoot your

Most
-scratch that- All digital images need a little, if not a lot
of, tweaking. The reason for this is not, as many people think, a lack of quality in
digital imaging technology. It is rather an excess of quality
that requires the tweaking.
During
the many decades that traditional films have been available film manufacturers have made
numerous adjustments to their products. They have increased the contrast so that the final
photograph looks 'punchier', 'zippier', sharper. They increased the color saturation so
the the results are brighter, more vivid. These modifications produce results which are not
very realistic, but are more pleasing to the eye of the
consumer.
All
of these modifications are aimed at reproducing the scene, though not the scene in front
of the camera, rather the scene in the photographers memory (evidently memory tends to be
brighter, sharper, and more colorful than reality).
