This presentation will show you ways to be more incognito on the streets while also preserving the anonymity of your subjects. \nValérie Jardin is a French photographer\, currently residing in the United States. After working as a commercial photographer\, she now dedicates her time to educating others. Since 2012\, Valérie has taken her camera all over the world teaching students the art of visual storytelling. Paris\, New York\, Rome\, Amsterdam\, Melbourne\, and San Francisco are just a few of the locations she visits.\nApart from teaching others to see photographically\, Valérie is a prolific author\, a speaker\, and a podcast producer of the weekly show Hit The Streets. She has been an official FUJIFILM X-Photographer since 2014. \n  \n \n

In this seminar\, David will discuss his experience as a professional photographer and his unique approach to shooting sports. He will showcase some of his favorite images\, discuss how they were made\, and review the technical aspects of shooting sports in a variety of settings. \nDavid Sherman is a portrait\, sports and editorial photographer with over 25 years of experience. As the NBA Team Photographer for professional basketball teams\, Sherman has produced striking imagery that has been published internationally. David is highly regarded for his artist’s eye and his ability to masterfully draw out the emotion and energy behind his subjects. In 2010\, David established Transfer of Memory\, a touring exhibit of portraits and accompanying stories of Minnesota’s Holocaust Survivors. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Tamron and the Raptor Center Present: Bird Photography and Live Raptor Education\n.Join us for a 2 hour event to learn how to improve your birding photography and have a rare opportunity to photograph Birds of Prey provided by the U of M Raptor Center.  In our seminar\, from 2-3 pm\, we will cover topics such as understanding your cameras\, researching our subjects\, and how to create unique image compositions.  After the classroom time we will head to the backyard\, from 3-4 pm\, to join Mike Billington\, the Education Program Manager for The Raptor Center\,  and learn about and photograph 4 varieties of birds of prey.  This is an excellent opportunity to photograph raptors closer than you ever could in the wild.  Tamron lenses will be on hand to borrow and Experts will be available to provide support and feedback. \nThe classroom portion will be limited to 35. Registration requested. \nThe Raptor Education and Photography will be open to the public.  No registration required. \n  \n
