As part of the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area\, Coldwater Spring is a great spot for evening birds\, especially indigo buntings\, orioles\, sparrows\, and we might even spot a merlin. This event is for anyone interested in birding at any experience level. If you are new to birding\, this will be the perfect opportunity to get you started! \nRegistration: This is a free event and does not require registration. \n  \nNATURE WALK SCHEDULE\n\n7:00-7:15 pm // Check-in + Loaner Gear\n7:15-8:45 pm // Nature Walk\n8:45-9:00 pm // Wrap-up + Return Gear\n\n  \nBE PREPARED\nWhat to expect: \nWe will walk the trails around the park\, totaling approximately 1-2 miles round trip. As this event will be held outdoors\, rain or shine\, we recommend dressing comfortably and appropriately for the weather. Bring your own pair of binoculars or check out a pair from Swarovski\, and we also recommend packing a water bottle and bug spray\, just in case! \nLoaner gear: \nClay Taylor will be on hand to demonstrate the new Swarovski Optik AX Visio—binoculars that can ID birds for you\, along with other select Swarovski gear for you to try out during the nature walk.
