DESCRIPTION:Intro to Flash Photography Workshop\nEducation Celebration Week\nSaturday\, August 3rd\n \n  \nINTRO TO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY\nJoin Jason Brown from National Camera as he teaches you how to take the fear out of using your flash. In this workshop\, you will learn how to take control of your flash and understand how to differentiate the lighting on your subject from that on your background. We will demonstrate how to use the flash on and off the camera\, the best ways to modify the light to avoid harsh shadows. \nAfter the presentation\, we will head outside for the hands-on portion of the workshop. Jason will work with you to practice using flash to enhance your outdoor photos\, so remember to bring your camera and your flash.  \nDon’t currently have a flash? No problem! We’ll have select flash units on hand for you to use and share during the workshop. \n• • • • •  \nREGISTRATION: $30\nRegistration for this event closes at 10pm on Friday\, August 2nd. DESCRIPTION:Macro Photography Workshop with NCE\nEducation Celebration Week\nSaturday\, August 3rd\n \n  \nMACRO PHOTOGRAPHY WITH NCE\nWant to take your close-up photography to the next level? Join Jason Brown from National Camera as he takes you through the technical and creative aspects of macro photography. From tools and techniques to lighting and background choices; this class is designed to help you see things from a different perspective and to inspire you to slow down and observe the tiny world around you. \nThis brief instruction period will lead into an opportunity to try out these techniques during the hands-on portion of the workshop. Try out select cameras and lenses provided by OM SYSTEM\, or bring your own gear\, to take what you’ve learned and put it into practice! \nBring your own camera gear or try out select cameras and lenses\, provided by OM SYSTEM. National Camera will also be supplying continuous lighting gear\, modifiers and reflectors for you to use during the event. \n• • • • •  \nREGISTRATION: $30\nRegistration for this event closes at 10pm on Friday\, August 2nd. Tickets are limited\, so be sure to reserve your spot early! \nBe Prepared: \nPlease arrive a few minutes early\, so we can begin the workshop on time. The presentation will be held in our classroom on the second floor of the building\, which is accessible by stair or elevator. The shooting portion will be held outdoors in the greenspace behind the building.  \nPlease Note: \nWe will not be sending an email for this event\, so please be sure to read through the description entirely for full details. DESCRIPTION:Culinary Content Creation Workshop with NCE\nEducation Celebration Week\nSaturday\, August 3rd\n \n  \nCULINARY CONTENT CREATION WITH NCE\nJoin us for an interactive food photography workshop that covers both the technical and creative aspects of creating branded content for social media. Led by NCE instructors specializing in photo\, video and content creation\, this workshop is designed to give you hands-on experience creating still images and video clips for local businesses\, aimed at boosting their social media engagement.  \nAt the beginning of the workshop\, participants will receive a marketing brief that outlines the social media goals for three unique brands\, along with a photo/video guide for inspiration. After the brand review\, attendees will rotate through a series of shooting stations\, including local businesses Fig & Ivy Charcuterie and Amy’s Cupcake Shoppe\, as well as a stylized mocktail station. \nBy the end of the workshop\, you’ll have developed a diverse portfolio of high-quality images tailored to each of the brand’s social media objectives. This experience will not only enhance your photography and video skills but also provide valuable content for local culinary businesses to boost their online presence. \n• • • • •  \nREGISTRATION: $40\nRegistration for this event closes at 10pm on Friday\, August 2nd. You’ll have the opportunity to practice in a controlled studio-type environment inside the tent and in the natural greenspace outside. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start the workshop on time.  \nNational Camera will be supplying lighting gear\, modifiers and reflectors for you to use during the event. Bring your cameras\, lenses\, and mobile devices\, so we can help you maximize your skills with the gear you have.
