DESCRIPTION:Fine Art Floral Photography\nIn-Person Workshop\nSunday Session • May 10th\n  \n\n  \nFine Art Floral Photography • Sunday Session\nJoin us as we explore the world of fine art floral photography with an in-person workshop at National Camera on Sunday\, May 10th. This workshop is aimed at photographers of any skill level who would like to learn how to create fine art floral images using simple tabletop setups and controlled lighting. \nLed by NCE photo expert Becky Clark\, we will begin the workshop with an introduction to the key elements of flower photography\, followed by a live demonstration of studio lighting techniques. Becky will share her step-by-step approach to lighting the subject that includes a combination of artistic vision\, technical skill\, and creative expression. After laying the groundwork\, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and dive into hands-on exploration! In the hands-on portion of the workshop\, you’ll experiment with single-stem compositions\, floral arrangements\, and abstract techniques while exploring the unique shapes\, forms\, and textures of each flower. With expert guidance\, you’ll learn how to use props and backgrounds to enhance your images and bring out the natural beauty of your subject. \nPlease note: This workshop will cover the same material and will have the same format as the Saturday session.  \n• • • • • \nWhat to Bring\nCamera: DSLR\, mirrorless\, or film cameras are welcome. Lenses: Focal lengths between 50mm and 100mm are ideal\, though there’s flexibility depending on your creative approach. Memory Cards & Batteries: Please bring extra memory cards and fully charged batteries. Tripod (Optional): A tripod can provide added stability\, assist with precise framing\, and allow you to adjust objects in your scene without needing to recompose. \n• • • • • \nWhat We’ll Provide\nLED lighting equipment\, reflectors\, and a limited number of tripods will be available for use during the workshop\, so you can focus on learning and experimenting without needing additional gear. \nYou’ll also have access to a curated collection of objects and backdrops designed specifically for tabletop still life photography\, giving you the opportunity to explore different textures\, colors\, and styling approaches throughout the hands-on portion of the class. \nEach attendee will receive a full-color\, spiral-bound workshop guide filled with key techniques\, creative exercises\, and expert tips to continue refining your skills long after the workshop ends. \n• • • • • \nWorkshop Flow\n10:45–11:00 AM • Check-In + Settle In 11:00 AM–12:00 PM • Presentation + Live Lighting Demo 12:00–1:30 PM • Guided + Creative Shooting Stations 1:30–2:00 PM • Final Shooting Time + Open Q&A \n• • • • • \nAdditional Details\nRegistration Fee: $50\nRegistration closes on Friday\, May 8th at Noon.
