DESCRIPTION:Natural Light Portrait Workshop\nsponsored by Tamron\nEducation Celebration Week \nSaturday\, July 26th\n  \nNatural Light Portrait Workshop with NCE\nDiscover the art of outdoor portrait photography in this hands-on workshop led by NCE educator and professional photographer Becky Clark-Dullinger. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your foundational skills or elevate your creative approach\, this session is designed to help you make the most of natural light to create beautifully lit portraits. \nWe’ll start in the classroom with a guided presentation covering exposure settings\, white balance\, depth of field\, and focal length—key elements that work together to create dynamic images. You’ll also gain insight into the role of light in portraiture\, including how to recognize quality light\, use basic modifiers\, and choose the best time of day for your shoot. Then\, put your knowledge into practice during a live photo session with on-site models. Becky and the NCE photo team will be available throughout to offer tips\, answer questions\, and provide hands-on support. \n• • • • • \nTamron Loaner Gear\nTamron will have a selection of loaner lenses available for Sony E and Nikon Z mirrorless systems—offering you the opportunity to try out Tamron’s portrait-ready lenses and find the best fit for your style.  \nPlease Note: A valid photo ID and credit card are required to check out loaner equipment. \n• • • • • \nRegistration: $40\nRegistration closes on Friday\, July 25th at 10pm. Tickets are limited\, so be sure to reserve your spot early! \nClassroom: The presentation will be held in our classroom on the second floor of the building\, which is accessible by stair or elevator. Please arrive a few minutes early\, so we can begin the class on time.  \nHands-on Portion: We will be photographing the portrait models on-site at National Camera in the green space behind the building and some other surrounding areas nearby. \nWhat to Bring: Pack your interchangeable lens camera\, lenses\, and charge up your batteries before the event! We also recommend bringing additional batteries and memory cards just in case.  \nPlease Note: We will not be sending an email for this in-person event\, so please be sure to read through the description entirely for full details.
