Join National Camera and Leica District Sales Manager Matt Butzow for a walk around the Weisman Art Museum on Friday, May 10th at 6pm.
The Weisman Art Museum (WAM) was designed by world-renowned architect Frank Gehry and is one of the major landmarks on the University of Minnesota’s East Bank campus. WAM is situated on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River at the east end of the Washington Avenue Bridge. The abstract structure was completed in 1993 and is considered highly significant because it was built prior to the widespread use of computer aided design in architecture.
For this event, we will meet up as a group near the main entrance of the museum before heading out to explore a variety of vantage points to capture the unique architecture of the building. There will be a select amount of loaner gear available on a first come first serve basis, featuring SL2 camera kits, provided by Leica.

Loaner Gear: A valid photo ID and credit card are required to be able to check out loaner gear. Participants who borrow gear should also bring a blank SD card in order to take their images home with them. Leica will have (5) SL2 kits to try out for the photo walk, and will be available on a first come first serve basis.
Be Prepared: This event will be held outdoors rain or shine, so be sure to dress comfortably and accordingly for the weather.
If you need to cancel your registration for any reason, please contact us right away. Cancellations made 24 hours prior to registration closing will receive a full refund. A refund will not be issued for cancellations made within 24 hours of the registration deadline.
