Accounting / Inventory Assistant

Job type: Part-time
Department: Purchasing / Accounting
Reports to: Senior Buyer

National Camera Exchange is looking for part-time Accounting/Inventory Assistant at our Golden Valley location, with the possibility of it turning into a full time position in the future. Flexible schedule consisting of weekday only hours (no weekends) with total weekly hours falling in the 20-30 hr. range to start. Starting pay of $16-18/hr based on experience.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Senior Buyer with various tasks.

  • Inventory report processing
  • Inventory price updates
  • Sales promotion entry
  • Vendor rebate calculation and submission
  • Purchase order entry for several vendors
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as time and skill level allows

Assist the Accounting Manager with various tasks.

  • Check run processing
  • Check processing for customer equipment purchases
  • Daily sales report updates
  • Accounts receivable review and clean up
  • Limited bank reconciliation work
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as time and skill level allows


REQUIREMENTS: 

Education and/or Experience:

Photo Sales Associate

Job type: Full-time, Part-time
Department: Sales
Reports to: Department Manager

National Camera Exchange is looking for full- and part-time Sales Associates at our Golden Valley location. Excellent customer service and teamwork are two things that make us stand apart from our competition. These objectives are achieved within this position by selling photo/video equipment and accessories and ensuring that the customer’s expectations are met and exceeded by problem-solving and answering questions. Starting pay of $17/hr.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist customers with the purchase of new equipment and/or the trade-in of old equipment, accessories, and supplies. (70%)

  • Assist customers in the store
  • Answer phones after first page
  • Qualify customer’s needs
  • Accurately ring all transactions through GERS
  • Prepare items for shipping when necessary
  • Accurately write up and ring repairs with all required information into GERS
  • Resolve customer problems
  • Provide additional customer support after the sale
  • Attend product trainings and keep updated on current product information
  • Accurately evaluate used equipment; has manager approve values if necessary 
  • Prepare and label returned and/or open box products for resale
  • Assist in Photofinishing Department when necessary by writing up and ringing out orders 

Contribute to keeping store/department and assigned area clean. (30%)

  • Stock merchandise as needed
  • Organize, straighten, and clean merchandise
  • Front and face merchandise
  • Ensure all merchandise is accurately tagged and priced
  • Stock supplies (bubble packs, invoices, shopping bags, marking tags, etc.).
  • Transfer equipment to repair and other store locations
  • Help set up products and displays
  • Call customers regarding returned repairs, special orders, and/or backorders

Photofinishing Sales Associate

Job type: Full-time, Part-time
Department: Sales
Reports to: Photofinishing Lead

National Camera Exchange is also looking for a part-time Photofinishing Sales Associate at our Golden Valley location. Excellent photofinishing and teamwork are two things that make us stand apart from our competition. These objectives are achieved within this position by selling photofinishing products/services, accessories, and darkroom supplies, and by ensuring the customer’s expectations are met and exceeded by resolving issues and answering questions. Starting pay of $16/hr.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist customers in purchasing photographic accessories, frames, and albums. (35%) 

  • Handle phone calls and assist in-store customers
  • Answer phones in a timely manner 
  • Qualify customer’s needs
  • Ring all transactions through GERS system quickly and accurately 
  • Provide additional customer support after the sale
  • Assist customers with purchases
  • Prepare items for shipping when necessary 

Promote photofinishing services and sales. (35%)

  • Qualify customer’s film, finishing, and/or digital needs 
  • Suggest additional photofinishing services when appropriate 
  • Write up photofinishing and video transfer orders accurately 
  • Learn and understand online photofinishing procedures 
  • Help customers process orders on their phones and/or online

Contributes to keeping department/store clean and organized. (30%)

  • Stock merchandise as needed 
  • Assist in putting merchandise away 
  • Organize, stock, straighten, and clean merchandise 
  • Call customers regarding video transfers, and/or out-lab orders 
  • Ensure all merchandise is accurately tagged and priced 
  • Help set up products and displays 
  • Stock supplies (bubble packs, invoices, shopping bags, marking tags, etc.) 
  • Notify managers of low stock
