Optics have internal flaws which will impact image quality. The binoculars have heavy haze on both sides on either the middle elements or most likely the prisms. After doing some research this does not appear to mean these Binos are broken, they were just made that way. The image is relatively sharp, but he contrast is very low. These are being sold as-is, but there may not be anything wrong with them.
