Join us as we explore the world of fine art floral photography with an in-person workshop at National Camera on Sunday, May 10th. This workshop is aimed at photographers of any skill level who would like to learn how to create fine art floral images using simple tabletop setups and controlled lighting.
Led by NCE photo expert Becky Clark, we will begin the workshop with an introduction to the key elements of flower photography, followed by a live demonstration of studio lighting techniques. Becky will share her step-by-step approach to lighting the subject that includes a combination of artistic vision, technical skill, and creative expression. After laying the groundwork, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and dive into hands-on exploration! In the hands-on portion of the workshop, you’ll experiment with single-stem compositions, floral arrangements, and abstract techniques while exploring the unique shapes, forms, and textures of each flower. With expert guidance, you’ll learn how to use props and backgrounds to enhance your images and bring out the natural beauty of your subject.
Please note: This workshop will cover the same material and will have the same format as the Saturday session.
