Jeff Bouton began his birding career as a young teen, working daily as a seasonal field research biologist for numerous government agencies and non-for-profits all across the United States. This eventually led him to a career as a professional tour guide throughout Alaska. He is a contributing author to multiple American Birding Association bird-finding guides and the novel “Good Birder’s Don’t Wear White” has authored dozens of birding articles and had numerous digiscoped images published in Bird Watcher’s Digest, Birding, Birdwatching, WildBird, Popular Photography, and Wildlife Photographer magazines. Through his current position as the Birding / Nature Markets Manager for Leica in the Americas, Jeff still writes blog posts and creates regular content for social media on numerous platforms, guides field trips and is a keynote speaker at many birding events worldwide.
